Goya Day at Holiday Hill

Hosted every year by The Saint Barbara GOYA of Orange, Connecticut, the fifth annual Direct Archdiocesan District-wide event at Holiday Hill will take place on Saturday, September 24. This annual event helps kick-off the Ecclesiastical GOYA year as GOYAns from all over the D.A.D gather for a day of fun, fellowship and food! The GOYAns will participate in ice-breaker activities then be able to play softball, volleyball, tennis, mini-golf, badminton, bocce, horseshoes and basketball. They can swim in the Olympic-sized swimming pool, kayak, canoe or paddle boat on the lake. They can also participate in a dance challenge, sports tournaments, hula hoop, potato sack race, egg toss and pie eating contest. The Direct Archdiocesan District, housed at the Archdiocese in New York City, encompasses parishes in most of New York State, the western half of Connecticut, Washington, D.C. and the Bahamas. The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is led by its director, Fr. Evagoras Constantinides, and is under the pastoral care of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios.
