2011 Camp Saint Paul Staff Applications Available!

Beloved Faithful of the Direct Archdiocesan District,

I pray that this message finds you well!

In 5 short months, we will embark again on the missionary journey that is Camp Saint Paul! As the summer camping ministry of the Direct Archdiocesan District and a ministry of the DAD Youth Office, Camp Saint Paul serves as one of the ‘”crown jewels” of youth ministry in our region. We all work very hard on a local, parish level to provide the best JOY and GOYA experiences possible for our children. At Camp Saint Paul, we have a wonderful opportunity to build upon the groundwork that you, our amazing youth workers, build up throughout the year.

At Camp Saint Paul, the campers are removed from the pressures of society for a week – no phones, no internet, no television – and are able to connect not only with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, but also with their staff members and each other.

Attending camp is one of the best opportunities available to our youth. For our young adults, one of the most amazing opportunities is to serve that same camp as a Staff Member. I have been fortunate to serve at many different camps across the country, and I can attest that working with children in a Christ-centered camping environment is a truly priceless experience.

At Camp Saint Paul, our staff members are not babysitters, but leaders who guide and experience the week along with our campers. As our campers grow, learn and have fun, our staff do the same. This is an experience like none other.

I strongly encourage every young person to apply to serve for one, two, or even three weeks at Camp Saint Paul. They will take away both fun memories and lifelong friendships, while at the same time serving as mentors and leaders for the youth of our Direct Archdiocesan District.

Please share this news with anyone you know who may be interested in serving Camp Saint Paul, and encourage them to visit our website at where they will be able to learn more about our program and download a staff application. Registration for campers will open on March 4th! Please help us spread the word!

In Christ,

Deacon Evagoras
