DAD GOYA Scavenger Hunt!

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries of the Direct Archdiocesan District is excited to announce its Annual GOYA Scavenger Hunt in New York City! Last year’s event was a great success, and with the supports of our GOYANS and Advisors, this year will be just as successful.  The details for the hunt are below, as welll as the flier to distribute to your GOYA.  Please email the Youth Commission Events Coordinator, Athena Zapantis at if your group will be participating in the Scavenger Hunt this year or if you have any questions.

GOYA Scavenger Hunt 2011
Saturday, March 26th

Where:  Central Park in NYC
(meet at entrance at 72nd and Central Park West)
[Rain location for hunt:  Grand Central Station]

Name of Hunt:  Picture Scavenger Hunt

Cost:  $30 each GOYAn  (includes scavenger hunt and lunch)
– Non-refundable
(Note:  Chaperones $15 each)

Following the Scavenger Hunt we will have a group lunch at Holy Trinity Cathedral (located at  319 East 74th Street, New York, NY 10021).  The awards will be distributed during our group lunch.  All must be sure to have had a good breakfast before the hunt since we will not be having lunch until around 2pm-2:30pm.  All must wear comfortable clothes and shoes as we will be doing a lot of walking.  Also because our venue is outdoors, please dress weather appropriate as well.

Because this activity requires full commitment from all those that participate, we would like for all the advisors/parents/GOYA Officers to make that point clear with all their GOYAns when signing up for this activity.  We will need to purchase tickets in advance and we need to pay for them in full 3 weeks prior to the event.  Also remind the GOYAns that the money is non-refundable.

Deadline for money and paperwork:  Sunday, March 6, 2011
Please make checks payable to:  Holy Trinity Church GOYA
and in the MEMO section of check please write:  GOYA Scavenger Hunt 2010
(We will be sending one check to the company for the full amount)

Mail all monies and paperwork to:
Holy Trinity Church
