St. Demetrios & the children

Camp Saint Paul 2011 Dates

January 10, 2011

Dear Camp Saint Paul Staff:

On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios and the Direct Archdiocesan District Youth Office, I am overjoyed to announce the dates for Camp Saint Paul, Summer 2011! This year, Cam Saint Paul will again offer three fun-filled one-week sessions:

Week 1: July 4 – July 10
Week 2: July 11 – July 17
Week 3: July 18 – July 24

The theme for this year is “If God is for us, who can be against us?” and all JOY children (grades 3rd-6th) and GOYAns (grades 7th-12th) are welcome to participate!

Camp Saint Paul is a Christ-centered environment where our youth grow in their Christian faith, and make life long friendships. With the prayers and support of the parishes and faithful of the Direct Archdiocesan District, our camp has become an oasis of faith for our young people, as they return each year to be with clergy, staff members, and Orthodox Christian friends and peers.

On magnificent Lake Bantam in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Litchfield, Connecticut, the children of our District pray together each day, sing around the campfire, and enjoy the many athletic activities. They discuss scripture, theology and major social issues in their daily sessions, and they express their creativity in various ways. Campers swim and water slide on Lake Bantam, enjoying the blessings and silence of their natural surroundings. They learn and grow together, making bonds of friendship with Greek Orthodox young people from different parts of our Direct Archdiocesan District.

I am sure you will want to be a part of this most exciting camping program which has positively impacted and transformed, to the great joy of their parents, countless young people who have participated in it these past 6 years! Please take advantage of this unique opportunity afforded you by our Direct Archdiocesan District Youth Office. For more information, please contact the Youth Office at (212) 774-0267 or at Also, please feel free to email me at at any time.

Make sure to check out our website at for up-to-date information and staff applications as we get closer to the summer.

I invite you to become a part of the ever-growing Camp Saint Paul family. I pray the grace of the Lord be upon you and your family always.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Elias
Camp Director
